Ce contexte de complexification de la fabrique urbaine ne détourne-t-il pas les initiateurs et les participants du réseau de la question des « non-professionnels » ? La lecture chronologique des Cahiers Ramau atteste de la présence constante d’un intérêt pour « l’usager » durant les vingt années de publication ainsi que d’une évolution de l’approche de cette notion. Après s’être fait l’écho d’une vision centrée sur l’anticipation des usages destinée à améliorer la qualité architecturale du cadre bâti, les articles montrent la montée en légitimité de l’« habitant-citoyen » dans les arènes de la fabrication urbaine. Ils témoignent des transformations des habitudes de travail des professionnels pour inclure les habitants dans les projets architecturaux et urbains, ainsi que du développement de métiers, de marchés, et parfois aussi de formations, en lien avec la participation des habitants. Whereas the period of the 1970s was marked by the politicization of projects and urban struggles, the 1990s, which coincided with the creation of the Ramau network, were characterized by the technicalization of projects. Did this context of increasing complexity of urban production divert the network’s initiators and participants from the question of “non-professionals”? A chronological reading of articles in the Ramau Papers attests to the constant presence of the interest in the “user” over the 20 years of publication as well as an evolution in the approach to this notion. After echoing a vision focussed on anticipating uses to improve the architectural quality of the built environment, the articles in the Papers show the rising legitimacy of the “citizen-inhabitant” in the arenas of urban production. They testify to changes in the working habits of professionals to include residents in architectural and urban projects, as well as the development of professional practices, markets, and even educational programs, in connection with residents’ participation. dim., 29 nov. 2020 23:28:51 +0100 ven., 14 janv. 2022 14:51:27 +0100 https://cahiers-ramau.edinum.org/131 https://cahiers-ramau.edinum.org/239 Cet article apporte quelques retours sur l’expérience pédagogique singulière de la « commande financée » mise en place depuis plusieurs années au sein du master « Urbanisme, aménagement et études urbaines » de l’université Paris-Nanterre pour répondre aux enjeux complexes et croissants de professionnalisation auxquels sont confrontées les formations en urbanisme. Cet exercice a pour ambition d’appréhender les réalités du monde professionnel par une mise en situation quasi réelle « hors les murs ». L’expérience montre que cet exercice produit un espace de formation dialogique souvent difficile à qualifier, ni tout à fait universitaire ni tout à fait professionnel. La réalisation d’une commande nécessite une forme d’ajustement des modes opératoires des deux parties, si bien que l’apprentissage ne réside pas seulement dans le simple fait de produire une étude mais aussi dans la manière de négocier une réponse qui convienne à toutes les parties. Les apports de cet exercice tiennent au travail de co-construction et de co-élaboration avec les interlocuteurs. This article brings some feedback on the unique pedagogical experience of the financed “project orders” implemented over the last few years  within the Masters program “Urban planning, development and urban studies” at the University of Paris Nanterre in order to meet the complex and growing challenges of professionalization faced by urban planning education. The aim of this exercise is to grasp the realities of the professional world through an almost real “outside the walls” situation. Experience shows that this exercise produces a dialogical training space often difficult to qualify, neither completely academic nor completely professional. The realization of a project order requires a form of adjustment of the operation modes of the two parts, so that learning is not only producing a study but also negotiating a response that satisfies all parties.
