Dans un premier temps, il met au jour les ambivalences de l’appel à projets, qui rejette les attendus de la recherche scientifique « mainstream », quitte à la caricaturer, tout en s’y référant de manière implicite. Ensuite, il s’attelle à décrire précisément la mise à l’épreuve du projet en situation concrète, en particulier les tensions qu’elle a pu générer entre les chercheuses, entre celles-ci, les associations et les citoyen·nes, et avec le commanditaire. Au travers de ce cas d’étude, l’article montre la complexité de la construction du savoir et de son processus de légitimation dans ces conditions d’hybridité. This paper concerns the study of the challenges of a Participatory Action Research called “CitizenDev” (2016-2020) in which the authors participated in response to a demand for research projects within a framework named “Co-Create”, subsidized by the Brussels-Capital Region in Belgium. To be precise first of all, it brings to light the ambivalences of this demand for projects which rejects the principles of «mainstream» scientific research, even if it means caricaturing it while referring to it implicitly. Then it sets out to describe precisely the testing of the project in concrete contexts and in particular the tensions that it has generated between researchers, between researchers and associations and citizens and with the public sponsor respectively.
